About me

I am an Associate Professor (tenured in 2021) in School of Transport and Logistics at the Southwest Jiaotong University (SWJTU), China. Before taking this position, I worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Tokyo Institute of Technology for two and a half years. I obtained Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering (Transportation) from the same institution in 2017. Both my postdoctoral and doctoral trainings were advised by Prof. Daisuke Fukuda.

Research interests

I lead the Transportation System and Urban Network Analysis (TUNA) Lab in SWJTU. The TUNA Lab focuses on a variety of optimization problems and equilibrium models in logistics and transportation networks. In particular, we leverage operations research, game theory, and machine learning tools to design mechanisms and algorithms for equitable and efficient transportation systems.
Some specific directions that we currently focus on include

  • Interpretable traffic flow theory and dynamic traffic assignment models

  • Data-driven transportation network optimization models and algorithms

  • Mechanism design for emerging transportation technologies

Distinctions

  • Seiichi Tejima International Student Research Award, January 2019

  • Kikkawa-Yamaguchi Award, December 2018

  • 16th Behavior in Networks Research Workshop Award, October 2017

  • MEXT Scholarship for doctoral students, October 2013-October 2016

  • MEXT Scholarship for research students, October 2012-October 2013

Education

  • Ph.D. in Civil Engineering (Transportation), Tokyo Institute of Technology, 2017

  • M.E. in Logistics Engineering, Tsinghua University, 2012

  • B.M. in Engineering Management, Southeast University, 2010

Opening

I am not qualified to advise doctoral students currently. Perspective master students may check this page for information about our lab.
